This Privacy Policy describes how Gnam! ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information of users ("User", "you") when using the Gnam! mobile application (hereafter "App").

1. Data We Collect

When you use Gnam!, we collect and process certain information to provide you with our services:

• Account Data: Email address, name (or nickname) and profile picture (avatar) chosen during registration.
• Personal and Family Preferences: Information about your food intolerances, allergies, dietary preferences, age and family household composition ("Family" or "Kitchen"). None of this data constitutes medical diagnoses, but it helps us personalize recipes.
• Usage Data (Inventory and Pantry): Ingredients you add to your digital pantry, food expiration dates and products added to your shopping list.
• User-Generated Content: Recipes you save and preferences expressed when generating recipes ("recipe vibe", meal type, etc.).
• Technical Data: In the future we may collect notification tokens (for push or local notifications) and error logs (e.g. via Crashlytics) to improve the stability of the App.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely for these purposes:

• Provide, maintain and improve the App's basic service (data synchronization across devices).
• Manage "Family" dynamics (sharing pantry among multiple users in the same group).
• AI Processing: We send your dietary preferences, intolerances and inventory ingredients to our Artificial Intelligence provider (Google Gemini GenAI) to generate personalized recipe suggestions. Important: Prompts sent to the AI do not include your true identity (email or full name), only the nutritional and dietary parameters necessary for the service.
• Send notifications (food expiration alerts or weekly reminders).

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We never sell your personal data. We share some data exclusively with service providers essential to the App's operation:

• Google (Firebase): Used for user authentication and secure data storage in the cloud database (Firestore).
• Google (Gemini AI): Used to process text requests for recipes.
• Apple and Google Play (in future): Any information necessary for proper management of In-App subscriptions.

4. Data Retention and Security

We retain your information as long as you maintain an active account or as long as necessary to provide you with the Services. We use industry-standard security protocols (provided by Firebase) to protect the database.

5. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. Within the App (in the Profile section) you will find the option "Delete account". Using this function, all your identifying data and your "Family" (if you are the exclusive owner) will be permanently removed from our central servers.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will inform you by placing a notice in the App or by updating the date at the top of this document.
